Charlotte is a Clinical Psychologist with specialist expertise in the assessment and treatment of ARFID, other eating disorders, and related difficulties. Charlotte feels passionately about helping people with ARFID and their families reach the support they need in order to move forward. Charlotte works mostly in the NHS and offers private work alongside this.

Charlotte trained at King’s College London and has worked as a qualified Clinical Psychologist in the NHS since 2018. Much of her clinical experience, training, and skills has been gained at the Maudsley in the National & Specialist ARFID Service and the wider eating disorder service (MCCAED). Charlotte now works in a newly developed NHS day patient service for restrictive eating disorders in Cambridge. Alongside her clinical work, Charlotte remains actively involved in eating disorder research, teaching and training, and service development.

Charlotte is committed to providing compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based treatment for ARFID with children, young people, adults, and families. Charlotte draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parent-led CBT, family and systemic interventions (including Family Therapy for ARFID), and incorporating ‘third-wave’ approaches where helpful. Charlotte recognises that every person’s and family’s’ experience and mealtime culture is unique, and works to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space in which clients can make sense of what’s going on and move towards meaningful change. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual's needs, strengths, and goals, including adapting interventions for neurodivergent clients where appropriate.

Charlotte is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC: PYL36539).
