Sophie has worked in child & adolescent eating disorders for 14 years. She has worked across the eating disorder presentations in the private sector and within the NHS. Sophie has gathered expertise in paediatrics, working both in hospital & community settings. In the past 6 years she has worked in a child & adolescent ARFID team where she has developed the dietetic role. Sophie has co-developed groups within the team, supporting families to understand ARFID and implement dietary expansion strategies.
Sophie graduated from Leeds Metropolitan university with a Bsc in Nutrition & Dietetics and is a registered dietitian. To further her expertise she has taken modules at Kings College Hospital specific to child & adolescent mental health. Sophie has also attended Adult ARFID training.
Sophie has delivered training on nutritional assessment and treatment in ARFID to specialist Dietitian's as well as delivering the NHS National Training to NHS services.
